Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has officially unveiled the much-anticipated Hyundai Creta Electric SUV specification in its second teaser. The Creta Electric, the South Korean automaker’s 3rd electric vehicle in the Indian EV space after Kona Electric and Ionic-5, will be launched at the upcoming Bharat Global Mobility Expo 2025 in January.

The Creta Electric is expected to offer two battery options: a 42kWh pack offering an ARAI-rated range of 390 km, and a larger 51.4 kWh pack with a claimed range of maximum 473 km.

The all-electric Creta SUV is going to compete with other EV SUVs like Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6 and MG ZS EV along with the upcoming Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara. Maruti’s e-Vitara will also be launched at the 2025 Auto Expo.

As depicted in the table, the Mahindra BE 6 has the biggest battery packs with 59 kWh and 79 kWh options in the segment. Although the specifications of the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara are yet to be launched, it has bigger battery pack options with 49 kWh and 61 kWh batteries compared to the newly revealed Hyundai Creta Electric. Among the above, the MG ZS EV comes with a slightly smaller 50.3 kWh battery pack than Creta’s long-range version with a 51.4 kWh battery pack.

The Hyundai Creta Electric, with a 42kWh battery pack, claims to offer a range of 390 km on a single full charge, which is the lowest in the table. With the 51.4 kWh battery pack, the range increases to 473 km. Among the list, the Mahindra BE 6 comes with the highest range of 682 km on a single full charge. Tata Curvv EV comes with a decent range of 430 km and 502 km with 45 kWh and 55 kWh battery packs respectively.
